Herstory 2: The Legal History of Chinese-American Women, May 12 @ 11am

Herstory 2ALL are invited to the reception for Herstory 2: The Legal History of Chinese-American Women!
Dr. Chang C. Chen, author of Herstory 2, will discuss her work.

May 12 from 11 am to 1 pm @  Laney College Library

The Herstory 2 exhibit is a fascinating look at the Chinese American women who fought for their rights, and, in doing so, helped shape a new world for #ChineseAmericans in the United States. This exhibit is an updated chronicle of Chinese American women's history, told through legal cases fought in the Supreme Court of the United States and the supreme courts of its states. Using the personal collection of Dr. Chiu Chang, Herstory 2 features rare photographs and case descriptions of efforts by #Chinese American women to gain legal standing in the U.S.

Herstory 2 will be displayed in Laney Library from May 1 to July 27.

Refreshments will be served courtesy of the Office of the President of Laney College.
Community members are welcome to attend.
