The following message was sent on behalf of Dr. Jannett N. Jackson, Interim Chancellor, to all students and employees via email on March 30, 2022.
Welcome to the Spring 2022 semester at the Peralta Colleges! We are so glad to have students back in person and online this semester for classes and student services.
Congratulations Students on making it to the Fall 2021 semester Finals Week December 11-17, 2021. You got this! Here are the final exam schedules for each college:
Laney College Hosts Welcome Event for African-American Community
The Peralta Community College District has announced that COVID vaccinations are required by October 7th, 2021, for both employees and for students who are coming to campus for classes.
On Monday, June 7, 2021 at Laney College, free Moderna COVID vaccinations were given to students, staff, their families, and community members. Interim Chancellor Dr. Jannett N. Jackson provided an update on the vaccine event during the Chancellor's Report at the June 8, 2021 Board of Trustees meeting.
Exciting things are always happening at the Peralta Colleges. For the past year, most of these exciting things have been "virtual" but that is starting to change. On March 31, 2021, the women of the Laney College Water Polo team hosted a scrimmage against Las Positas College. This scrimmage was the first Peralta Sports Event since the Alameda County sheltering in place order began to protect us from the spread of COVID-19.
On Wednesday, March 10, 2021, an announcement on behalf of Interim Chancellor Dr. Carla Walter was sent to all District employees. Dear Peralta Community, I’m writing to help us all in our planning for summer and fall 2021 semesters. We continue to work closely with local public health officials and the State Chancellor's Office while we serve the community and meet our mission. Berkeley City College, College of Alameda, Laney College and Merritt College will continue to offer the majority of the courses and services as online or hybrid this summer and fall semester. |
