The Peralta Community College District (PCCD) has partnered with the Alameda County Public Health Department (ACPHD) to provide free COVID-19 vaccinations for Peralta students, employees, and their families. ACPHD has selected Clayworth Pharmacy to administer the free Moderna vaccinations.
Dear Peralta Community,
I want to follow up on the PCCD Announcement sent on Friday, May 21, 2021, which you can read online here: https://gems.peralta.edu/california-budget-update-the-may-revise. That was a very high level analysis of the budget, and I'd like to provide you and the Peralta Community with additional details about this fantastic budget revision proposed for the next fiscal year.
The following article was originally sent as a Peralta Community College District announcement to employees on Friday, May 21, 2021.

Dear Peralta Community,
The economy of the state of California is the largest in the United States, boasting a $3.2 trillion gross state product (GSP) as of 2019. Based on 2019 data, if California were a sovereign nation, it would rank as the world's fifth largest economy, ahead of India and behind Germany.
The budget for the state of California – which includes the California Community Colleges, which in turn includes the Peralta Community College District – is a big deal, and is usually communicated in three phases:
Two College of Alameda Automotive Technology (Atech) students, Yumeus (Missy) Taylor and Jorge Sandoval, were awarded Ozzie Day Scholarships this spring. As you can see from the photos below, both of them maintained social distancing protocols when they got their checks! All in-person Atech labs this semester have been running with full Covid protocols.
Peralta Community College District recently received two awards from CCPRO, the Community College Public Relations Organization (
http://ccprocalifornia.org/). The CCPRO 2021 Annual Meeting took place virtually on Friday afternoons during April and concluded on April 30 with their annual awards ceremony where it was announced that Peralta CCD received two awards for work produced in 2020.
