The main goal of their survey dubbed “2025 Real College California Survey” is to get input from all community college students here in California. The JuneSteingart Gallery at Laney College buzzed with creative energy on Wednesday, March 5th, as the Peralta community gathered to celebrate the opening reception of "CLAY PAPER WOOD." This  exhibition, showcasing the diverse talents of over 20 advanced students from Laney's Ceramics, Printmaking, and Wood Technology classes, proved to be a resounding success. Pushing for a Sustainable Future at Merritt College

Global warming is, without a doubt, the most crucial issue we will face in our lifetimes. In Oakland, 28% of landfill waste is unwanted food, a leading cause of methane emissions, a potent greenhouse gas.

For this reason, the Merritt College Sustainability Club decided to focus on teaching students how to compost and recycle waste and establishing the workforce and protocols to support these efforts.
