Today marks the beginning of a new chapter for me as your Chancellor, and I am thrilled to rejoin the Peralta Community College District. It's an honor and privilege to serve this community again, and I am genuinely excited about the incredible opportunities we have before us.

Like you, I am very much looking forward to the Thanksgiving break on November 23-24, 2023. We all need this break to recharge and reflect on what is most important in our lives.
Here is information regarding the Chancellor Finalist Forums that will be taking place today, Wednesday, October 25, 2023.

Public forums for the finalists for PCCD Chancellor are scheduled for next Wednesday, October 25, as detailed below and on the PCCD Chancellor Search website. My colleagues and I on the Board of Trustees encourage you to participate in the forums to hear directly from candidates about their preparation and vision for leading our District. We look forward to reviewing your feedback as part of our process.

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I am pleased to announce the Screening Committee has forwarded four finalists to the Board of Trustees for consideration as our next Peralta Community College District Chancellor. The finalists are listed in alphabetical order below, and you may access information about them on the PCCD website.
Dyana Delfín Polk, President of the PCCD Board of Trustees has provided a statement below intended to address community concerns with regards to PCCD's administrative leadership and to provide context for some of the decisions made by the Board of Trustees. The Peralta Community College District Board of Trustees, administration, faculty and staff continue to focus on our district's financial stability, full accreditation, and recent growth in student enrollment stemming from recent “Spring is Free” and “Fall is Free” enrollment campaigns. We trust this statement clears up any misinformation and informs the community about our next steps with regard to our permanent chancellor search.
The Peralta Community College District (PCCD) Board of Trustees is seeking community members to serve on a Screening Committee for the hiring of its new Chancellor. Volunteers should have an interest in and/or knowledge of higher education.

The Peralta Community College District has been engaged in negotiations since May 2022 with our faculty union, the Peralta Federation of Teachers (PFT). We want to provide the community with an update on these negotiations and provide some key context on a few important issues.
