Dear PCCD Colleagues,

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I am pleased to announce the Screening Committee has forwarded four finalists to the Board of Trustees for consideration as our next Peralta Community College District Chancellor. The finalists are listed in alphabetical order below, and you may access information about them on the PCCD website.

Much appreciation goes to the dedicated 15-member Screening Committee of faculty, classified professionals, administrators, community members, and trustees who invested untold hours of individual and collective work. The Committee unanimously identified this slate of finalists through an extensive screening process that began in February. Thank you, Committee members, for the high standards of professionalism and care you brought to this search!

Next steps are to hold separate public forums on October 25 for all four candidates followed by final interviews with the Board. Forum and interview schedules are being finalized, so watch for an announcement later this week with details.

Plans are to provide in-person, live-streamed, and recorded options for viewing forums, with the opportunity to submit potential forum questions and an online survey available for all who wish to offer feedback. We encourage your participation and look forward to reviewing your feedback before conducting our Board interviews.

My colleagues on the Board of Trustees are pleased with this progress and the comprehensive, transparent, and inclusive search process underway to identify our new leader. We remain on track to complete the search and announce our new Chancellor in early November, with their anticipated start date of January 1, 2023.
