On April 16, 2021, Dr. Jannett Jackson started in her new role as Interim Chancellor of the Peralta Community College District. Dr. Jackson is an experienced CEO having served as the esteemed Chancellor of the Chabot-Los Positas Community College District from 2013 to 2018 when she retired, and most recently coming out of retirement to serve as Interim President of Skyline Community College in San Bruno in 2019-2020. The Board of Trustees unanimously approved the Interim Chancellor contract for Dr. Jackson at their April 13, 2021 meeting.

We continue to work closely with local public health officials and the State Chancellor's Office while we serve the community and meet our mission. Berkeley City College, College of Alameda, Laney College and Merritt College will continue to offer the majority of the courses and services as online or hybrid this summer and fall semester. |
The Peralta Community College District is looking to hire a permanent Chancellor.
At a Special Meeting of the Board of Trustees on January 12, 2021, the Board selected AGB Search as the search firm to assist the District in conducting a nationwide search for a new Chancellor. Search Consultants Dr. Kim Bobby and Dr. Richard Wueste will be heading the search.

Yesterday, our nation witnessed a disgraceful display of vandalism, violence, and insurrection at the United States Capitol, during the long held tradition of validating the will of the people. Many political and educational leaders across the country have rightfully condemned the misguided actions of those rioters who breached the Capitol, and the Peralta Community College District denounces their lawless actions as well.
Dear Peralta Community, The year 2020 was about lifting each and every one of ourselves up. As individuals, as family members, and as PCCD community members, we all lifted each other up during this year of great struggles and challenges. |
