Peralta's First-Ever District-Wide AAPI Graduation

On May 3, Peralta's first graduation event for Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders was held at Merritt College. The student center was packed with graduating students, and performances included a dragon dance, drums, and traditional music from the Au Co Vietnamese Cultural Center’s Su Viet Ensemble.

The Equity Rubricis used around the world, and by the UC system closer to home, to help design equitable online classes. Laney College Baseball Diamond and Bullpen Naming Ceremony

On April 26, Laney College held a ceremony to rename their baseball diamond and bullpen after two long-time coaches, both of whom are in the California Community Colleges Athletics AssociationHall of Fame. The diamond was named for former head coach Tom Pearse, while the bullpen was named after assistant coach John Martinez.
