The Peralta Community College District Children's Centers (located at Laney College & Merritt College) are currently recruiting and enrolling new families with children ages 3 to 5 years. On Monday, June 7, 2021 at Laney College, free Moderna COVID vaccinations were given to students, staff, their families, and community members. Interim Chancellor Dr. Jannett N. Jackson provided an update on the vaccine event during the Chancellor's Report at the June 8, 2021 Board of Trustees meeting.
Friday, May 28, 2021 is Graduation Day across the Peralta Community College District. Congratulations to all the brilliant, tenacious, dedicated students who are 2021 Graduates of Berkeley City College, College of Alameda, Laney College, and Merritt College. You did it!
The Peralta Community College District (PCCD) has partnered with the Alameda County Public Health Department (ACPHD) to provide free COVID-19 vaccinations for Peralta students, employees, and their families. ACPHD has selected Clayworth Pharmacy to administer the free Moderna vaccinations.

Exciting things are always happening at the Peralta Colleges. For the past year, most of these exciting things have been "virtual" but that is starting to change. On March 31, 2021, the women of the Laney College Water Polo team hosted a scrimmage against Las Positas College. This scrimmage was the first Peralta Sports Event since the Alameda County sheltering in place order began to protect us from the spread of COVID-19.
On Thursday, March 25, 2021, the Peralta Colleges Foundation held a virtual event and auction March Madness: Race Toward Building Careers. The incredibly successful event raised $30,000 to be used for student scholarships.
