On Wednesday, September 18, 2024, Deputy Chancellor & Chief Operating Officer Greg Nelson hosted an Administrative Services Retreat at College of Alameda. The retreat included the departments of General Services, Information Technology, Public Safety, and Finance & Administration which are now combined in the new Division of Administrative Services.

OAKLAND, CA, Sept. 18, 2024 – Laney College Environmental Control Technology Department received a $100,000 grant for the third year as part of the Johnson Controls Community College Partnership Program. This funding enhances on-campus training and educational opportunities for future leaders in the HVAC, digital, fire, and security industries.

AANAPISI stands for Asian American, Native American, and Pacific Islander Serving Institutions, which include Laney College and Berkeley City College. This week celebrates the AANAPISI designation, which was established by Congress on September 27, 2007, to improve the availability and quality of postsecondary education programs to support low-income, first-generation Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) students.
