The Berkeley City College Humanities Program is partnering with The New Parkway Theater to present 100 Years of Movies with Berkeley City College, showcasing classic films every Monday night through the month of February.

BCC Welcomes Third Community Health Worker Apprenticeship Cohort

On Thursday, January 8, Berkeley City College welcomed 14 new apprentices to its Community Health Worker Apprentice Workshop. This orientation marked the launch of their program’s third cohort and provided apprentices with opportunities to connect with their peers, instructors, counselors, and college support staff.

On Monday, December 8, Berkeley City College was officially designated as a Black-Serving Institution (BSI) by the California BSI Governing Board.

Latinx Heritage Month kicked off on September 15, and Berkeley City College is celebrating with a series of vibrant events highlighting Latinx culture, creativity, and community. Throughout September, students explored Latinx Book Displays at the Berkeley City College Library, featuring a diverse collection of works by Latinx authors.

Welcoming Ilona McGriff, Director of Workforce Development

Berkeley City College is pleased to welcome Ilona McGriff in her role as Director of Workforce Development. Ilona will support California Apprenticeship Initiative grants, SWP, and Perkins planning and reporting, as well as employer engagement and identifying new funding for the College. We’re excited to have someone with Ilona’s expertise to help bolster the college’s growing workforce partnerships and grants.

Fall Flex Day Welcomes Back BCC Community and Honors Retirees

BCC Celebrates Graduates “Blooming in Resilience” at 2025 Commencement

Over 150 graduates of Berkeley City College’s Class of 2025 gathered with family, friends, faculty, and staff on a warm Spring day at the Laney College football field to celebrate this year’s commencement ceremony themed “Blooming in Resilience.”

BCC Hosts Community Partners Breakfast

On Wednesday, March 26, Berkeley City College hosted its annual Community Partners Breakfast. Over 100 counselors, dual enrollment partners, college advisors, and administrators from local high schools and higher education partners attended.
