On Thursday, January 8, Berkeley City College welcomed 14 new apprentices to its Community Health Worker Apprentice Workshop. This orientation marked the launch of their program’s third cohort and provided apprentices with opportunities to connect with their peers, instructors, counselors, and college support staff.

Celebrating Latinx Heritage Month at Berkeley City College
Latinx Heritage Month kicked off on September 15, and Berkeley City College is celebrating with a series of vibrant events highlighting Latinx culture, creativity, and community. Throughout September, students explored Latinx Book Displays at the Berkeley City College Library, featuring a diverse collection of works by Latinx authors.

Ilona will support California Apprenticeship Initiative grants, SWP, and Perkins planning and reporting, as well as employer engagement and identifying new funding for the College.
