Daniel Morga lives in Oakland and started working on cars with his dad at an early age. Ever since he was a little kid, he's always been fascinated by how cars work, how they are repaired, and using the right tool for the right job. He especially loves working for friends and neighbors, helping people get back on the road and knowing that his work has made a real difference in people's lives.
Like many other students, Stephen Hebrard is an overcomer. He is passionate about excelling in his education and is willing to face the challenges as they come - head on. As one of the assistant coaches for the Men’s basketball team at College of Alameda, Hebrard shares how EOPs has not only been a wonderful resource for his players, but even for himself.

Coach John Beam. Like many of you, I struggle to comprehend the tragic loss of someone with so much bravado, enthusiasm, and tenacity for life. John's vibrancy could be felt in every space he entered, proudly wearing his passion for students, Laney College, and Oakland. Moreover, his impact can be felt through generations of families in our community, having coached and mentored so many.

Tuesday, October 28th was a landmark day for Laney College as the campus hosted the official Groundbreaking and Construction Kickoff for three major Measure G-funded projects: the Library & Learning Resource Center, Theater Modernization, and Locker Room Renovation.
The first ever Peralta Pumpkin Pursuit 5K Run & Walk, a fundraiser benefiting the Peralta Colleges Foundation, was held on October 18, 2025, a crisp sunny Saturday morning at Merritt College in the Oakland Hills. It might have been the first, but it won't be the last as too much fun was had by all who participated!
