CoA’s Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT) Program serves students seeking employment as trained technicians in the aviation industry. The program operates under the approval of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and is located in a facility at 970 Harbor Bay Parkway, in Alameda, adjacent to the Oakland International Airport. Facilities include a sheet metal shop, an engine shop, welding equipment, and aircraft system trainers.

Laney College Representatives Meet with OUSD To Collaborate on Student Support

Outreach, Recruitment & Enrollment representatives from Laney College, along with some of their student support groups and learning communities, met with Oakland Unified School District representatives from nine of their high schools, as well as some of their central staff on March 11. Staff from each school was a mix of counselors, work-based learning coordinators, transition specialists, and college/career specialists, as well as a few outside college access partners.
