On Wednesday, October 2nd, Vice Chancellor of Human Resources & Employee Relations Andrea Epps hosted a Human Resources retreat at Merritt College.  This retreat included the teams working on Human Resources, Employee Relations, Benefits, and Risk Management. It was another excellent team building event!

As part of the team building event, the group spent time reviewing the Peralta Community College District Equal Employment Opportunity Plan and the employee data from 2023-24 that was going before the Board of Trustees on October 8, 2024. (Note, the Board of Trustees unanimously approved the 2023-24 Annual Equal Employment Opportunity Certification Form.)

Chancellor Gilkerson mentioned this retreat as part of her Chancellor's Report during the October 8, 2024 Board of Trustees Meeting. She thanked VC Epps for her leadership, while also expressing gratitude to Merritt College for providing the space for the retreat as well as HR Executive Assistant Arlene Lontoc for helping organize the event.
