The Peralta Community College District has implemented a new virtual parking permit system through iParq to improve parking operations, increase accountability, and enhance safety across District campuses.
Beginning this summer, students parking in permit-required lots must obtain a virtual parking permit through iParq. Summer student permits are available for $17.50 and are linked directly to your vehicle's license plate—no physical permit is required.
To help support students, designated free student parking spaces will remain available at Laney College, Merritt College, and College of Alameda on a first-come, first-served basis. Once these spaces are occupied, students parking in permit-required lots must have a valid parking permit.
Free Student Parking Locations
- Berkeley City College – No District-operated student parking is available.
- College of Alameda – Spaces 1–25 in the designated free student parking area.
- Laney College – Spaces 1–40 in the designated free student parking area.

Students are encouraged to review the parking maps and permit information before arriving on campus.
