Every day, Colleges throughout the Peralta Community College District are looking for ways to provide additional support to students. This includes Merritt College, which over the last several months has been working diligently behind the scenes to secure additional resources for students in its nursing program - and this work has paid off!

Thanks to the generosity of the Grace Richter and the LaMorinda Rotary Club, in partnership with the Peralta Colleges Foundation, four second-year nursing students have each been awarded with $4,500 individual scholarships.

And Merritt's Division of Allied Health and Public Safety recently applied for - and was awarded - funding through the second round of First Response grant funds. The College hopes to be able to distribute this critical support to students before the end of the year.

Learn more about the scholarships available to students across the Peralta Colleges from the Foundation, and through the College of Alameda, Laney College, Merritt College, and Berkeley City College.
