Spotlight on Student Resources and Clubs at Berkeley City College

Oct 4, 2024 1:26:52 PM / by Johnathan Freeman

Earlier this semester during Welcome Week, we had a chance to catch up with Gail  Pendleton, Enrollment Services Coordinator at Berkeley City College. She told us about some of the many resources available to students and encouraged them to join or create clubs. Visit https://www.berkeleycitycollege.edu/eops/ for more information about EOPS, CalWORKs, and NextUp, and https://www.berkeleycitycollege.edu/asbcc/inter-club-council/student-clubs-organizations/ for a full list of active clubs and information on how to start your own.

Below is a written transcription of the video.

"Hi, I'm Gail Pendleton. I'm the Enrollment Services Coordinator for Berkeley City College. BCC, we have a plethora of communities that you can engage with, and support services as well. We have various programs like EOPS, CalWORKs Care, NextUp for foster youth children. We have Veterans Programs for our veterans and their children. We also have about 30-plus clubs here. So, if you want to get into Women's Studies, we have a Women's Studies Club,... we also have clubs for social justice. Usually, faculty and staff do support all the clubs that we offer. So, just look us up and give us a call, and let us know your cause for your club that you would like to start, and we will be here to support you. At the end of the day, BCC has so much to offer. So, what you need to do is come on down and find your club and join BCC!"

Discover Your Community at Berkeley City College was produced by Bendi Yilmaz, a Peralta TV video production specialist from the district Marketing, Communication & Public Relations department.
