Since late spring semester when CoA received its first shipment of Chromebooks, the library staff and faculty have been working with the administration to check out computers for student use. At the start of the fall semester CoA’s library was the first in the district to roll out curbside distribution of library resources. Staff are coming in 3 days a week and have checked out nearly 100 Chromebooks to students so far.
The library is also distributing calculators and circulating books. For more details see alameda.peralta.edu/library/coa-library-curbside-pick-up-and-returns/. This was a major endeavor and the library staff are so thankful to Cheryl Peel, Caitlin Gilbert, Glenda Gardner, Lili Tavassoli, Ann Buchalter, and Jane McKenna for all their hard work to make these resources a reality for our students.
