Merritt’s fall 2022 enrollment projection is encouraging. With more than six weeks before the fall semester begins, Merritt is at 43.8% of its FTES target. In order to further bolster enrollment, we are researching how we can best support our students.
Our goal is to remove barriers that often keep students from applying, so we are looking into providing free childcare to those students who can’t afford it on their own, Safeway and Merritt Cafeteria gift cards to address food insecurity, and book vouchers. The success in these areas has been so extensive that CE now represents 70% of Merritt’s FTES
