Cosmetology Instructor Christina Edwards shares her knowledge and experience with the Laney College Cosmetology Program. Instructor Edwards emphasizes that you learn more than hair, skin, and nails in this program. She explains that students can get a certificate and an A.S. (associate) Degree and learn about hairstyling, color, facial, nails, and also theory. She encourages students to come to Laney to get the best opportunities and to receive Financial Aid services. She states that students are welcome to their Cosmetology Program, and that Laney rocks!

"Hi, I'm Christina Edwards, full-time instructor in Laney's cosmetology program. Our program is two semesters and a summer, and we're accepting students for next semester. We're really excited. You learn more than just hair, skin, and nails, but if beauty is your passion, we'd love to meet you. We have a certification in Cosmetology, so you get a certificate at the end of two semesters, and then also, if you're interested, we have A.S. Degree in Cosmetology.

You have to take seven classes. The classes are from 8:00 am to 3:30 [pm] every day, Monday through Friday. So, it's an intense program, but it's definitely well worth it, and you're going to take hairstyling, you're going to take hair color, facials, nails, and a lot of theory.

Come to Laney. We are the best cosmetology program around, and Laney is one of the best opportunities to come to school. It's really inexpensive. We have financial aid. We make it work for you.
