Community Budget Forum on Friday September 15th at 1pm

Written by Mark Johnson | Sep 16, 2022 2:06:33 AM

Please join Interim Chancellor Dr. Jannett N. Jackson and Acting Vice Chancellor of Finance and Administration Dr. Nathaniel Jones III for a community forum to review the proposed Adopted Budget for FY2022-23 at 1pm on Friday, September 16, 2022.  We had tentatively planned to hold the Planning and Budget Integration Model (PBIM) Summit at this time but given the importance of community input regarding the budget, the decision was made to reschedule the PBIM Summit and instead use the time to drill down into the FY2022-23 budget.

This Budget Forum will be held via Zoom meeting (not webinar format) and will not be recorded.  This forum is intended to be collaborative. As was originally announced during the Budget Town Hall meeting on September 1, 2022, an error was caught regarding the Total Computational Revenue so the draft Adopted Budget for FY2022-23 had to be adjusted to absorb an $11 Million gap. The district is proposing possible solutions to address this gap and we are interested in collecting feedback from all constituencies prior to the Board of Trustees’ approval. This meeting is being held in the spirit of transparency and collaboration. Please come with your recommendations.

All the best
