In honor of Black History Month, the Berkeley City College Library along with the BCC Students for Social Change Club are hosting a film screening
RUSTIN (2023) - a recent biopic that tells the powerful story of civil rights activist Bayard Rustin, who spearheaded the March on Washington in 1963.
Due to being an out gay man, Rustin is an often-overlooked figure in the history of the Civil Rights Movement despite his significant role. The film shows us his commitment to the struggle and ability to empower those around him, and it can inspire us to do the same today.
Thursday, FEB 29
BCC Auditorium
Doors open at 6pm and the film starting at 6:30pm
Following the screening (1hr 48min), we will hold a discussion for anyone interested.
