AI in Higher Education: A Bay Area Insight Debate & Dialogue

As artificial intelligence continues to reshape teaching and learning, educators are asking urgent questions: How should faculty respond? What does equitable, AI-resilient pedagogy look like? And how can institutions thoughtfully adapt?

Faculty across the East Bay are invited to explore these questions together at an upcoming, cross-campus event hosted at Berkeley City College, part of the Peralta Community College District.

A Different Kind of AI Conversation

AI in Higher Education: Insight Debate & Dialogue is not your typical panel or presentation. This free, faculty-only event uses a structured debate format to surface the real institutional conditions shaping how faculty engage with AI in the classroom.

Rather than focusing solely on tools or trends, this session centers on:

  • How faculty are actually responding to AI
  • The challenges and opportunities AI presents for teaching and learning
  • How debate itself can serve as an AI-resilient pedagogy

Expect a dynamic, thought-provoking environment designed to spark meaningful dialogue and shared insight.
