Here's a quick update and some videos from our late-season competitions. Adam Moore competed at the Northern California Decathlon Championship at Santa Rosa Junior College on April 8-9, and qualified for the state championship at College of San Mateo, finishing 5th overall, scoring 5581 in 10 events over two days. Adam competed in the 100m, Long Jump, Shot Put, High Jump, and 400m on day 1 and came back in the 110 high hurdles, Discus, Pole Vault, Javelin, and 1500m on day 2. He and 5 others from the north will head to College of San Mateo on May 16-17 for the state championship and face off against Southern California's best 6 for a state championship. This has been an incredible run for Adam, who took on 9 new events when he started on this decathlon journey last July and will now compete for a state championship in less than a month. I included a couple of videos from the Decathlon competition below, including a shot-put personal best and a pole vault personal best.

Finn Gohlke moved into 3rd in Northern California in the 400m and 5th in the 200m posting a 48.51 and 21.33 respectively at the famed Mt. Sac Relays.  I have included the 400m link below.

The 4x100m team took home the victory this weekend at the SF State Johnny Mathis Invitational.  The team of Kobe Goh, Finn Gohlke, Sebastian Guinther, and Jalen Rocker moves on to the postseason looking for a birth in the state championship amongst a tough field of teams. We head to DVC for our Big 8 Conference Championships this week for our first test on that road.  I also included a 200m video of Michaela Trapps at College of San Mateo that I mislabeled in my last update.  Michaela continues her winning ways and stands 5th in NorCal in the 100m and 7th in the 200m—a precarious situation as the top 4 make the state championship.  It will come down to the wire at the upcoming postseason meets.
