PeraltaSafety App Emergency Alerts Testing

On Thursday, April 9 at 1:30 pm, Laney College will conduct a fire evacuation drill.  As part of this drill, we will be sending the Laney community (students and employees) a Rave alert via text, email, and telephone at 1:30 pm to begin the drill. A second “all clear” message will be sent by text and email at 2:00 pm at the end of the drill. You can update your contact information in Campus Solutions to make sure we have your mobile number for text messages.

While this drill is focused on the Laney campus, we will use this opportunity to test the PeraltaSafety app emergency notifications. Anyone who has downloaded the app should receive this alert, even if you are not working or studying at Laney College. Visit https://www.peralta.edu/community-safety/peraltasafety to download the PeraltaSafety app, and remember to turn on Notifications in the settings.

Transformation Plan FAQ

We understand some people may have questions, so the Unification Taskforce - made up of students, faculty, classified professionals, and administrators - created a list of Frequently Asked Questions and Answers to help make you aware of these exciting changes, and what they mean for you.
