On May 13, Chancellor Tammeil Gilkerson served as a judge on a panel of a “Shark Tank"-style business competition called “DreamLaunch.” Students from across the district participated by presenting innovative business ideas, which were refined through a series of workshops leading to a final presentation. Other panel judges included Trustee Nicky González Yuen and Berkeley City College President Denise Richardson.
"I had a lot of fun hearing the different business pitches from these talented students," said Chancellor Gilkerson. "I want to thank Derek Carver, BCC student, and member of the Future Leaders of America – Phi Beta Lambda chapter at BCC for inviting me to participate."
