On May 8, Chancellor Tammeil Gilkerson participated in the 2024 Community College HigherEd Access Leadership Equity Scholarship (CCHALES) Research Collective Showcase. The showcase highlighted insight and implications from active administrative projects advancing racial equity in higher education. Scholars presented different research, including Latinas in Power, Queering Student Equity, Bridging Research, and Action for Racial Justice, that brought together national scholars and practitioners to unpack the multifaceted challenges to improving racial equity in community colleges.
